  We have been familiar with this church for many years, as I personally knew the founding pastor, Brother Wayne Blanton. Many years later, we were reacquainted with the folk when Brother Steven Chambers was pastor there, and he was a great help to our missionary work especially when we would conduct conferences. Gospel Light has some very sweet folk and they are very generous, loving to help out and to be helped by students from Ambassador Baptist College in Lattimore, NC who come each week to assist. A few years ago, my wife and I were taken on as missionaries by this church family, under the pastorate of Bobby Sherrill, and they supported us for about a year and let us park our RV/home on the church property and use the building for storage. Unexplicably, someone made up lies about us concerning the King James version, and the church leadership wrote a letter to our mission board without even making an effort to discuss the issue with us! As a result, the pastor and a controlling individual in the church unexpectedly came to our RV on a Saturday evening before Easter to make us leave the property! It was the worst behavior we'd EVER seen firsthand of ANY church leaders. Anyone looking to attend this church might wish to be aware of such issues in the church leadership there.
